I came to this shop after hearing good things and was hoping to build a relationship with a reliable mechanic. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t match those expectations. They charged me $45 just to inspect my brakes — which I was told would go toward the repair if I proceeded. But the quote they gave me was nearly $900 for rear pads and rotors plus front pads only on a 2020 Mazda 3. I later got quotes from multiple reputable shops (including one in Highland Park) ranging from $550 to $650 for the same exact job using OEM-quality parts. I respectfully asked if there was any flexibility, but didn’t feel like they were willing to work with me — even after I mentioned I'd done my homework. I walked away feeling like I overpaid just for a quote and wasn’t treated with the kind of fairness or transparency I was hoping for. The staff was polite, and maybe others have had better experiences, but based on pricing alone, I can’t recommend this shop. Be prepared to pay significantly more than market rate — even just to get an estimate.

Accurate evaluation of check engine light on issue. Report the existing car maintenance needed and offer very affordable and quick fix. Provide all possible options for the customer satisfaction, and very responsive on the calls. Thank you York Auto Care shop.
